Harvey & Andrea’s Wedding At The San Diego Mission Bay Boat And Ski Club

Capturing A Festive Celebration Of This Adorable Couple

One of my favorite parts about photographing weddings is meeting the happy couple’s respective families. They are always so excited to come together and celebrate their children’s union. And Harvey and Andrea’s wedding at The San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club was no exception!

Harvey and Andrea wanted their wedding to be a blend of their families and heritage, bringing everyone together as they proclaimed their union. It was a warm, wonderful day that felt like a big Mexican fiesta for the whole family.

The Happy Couple and Their Families

Harvey and Andrea contacted me through Zola, saying they wanted me to come to photograph their wedding. They booked their wedding at The San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club. From Andrea’s festive wedding dress to the colorful cupcakes, the entire wedding was a fun, festive and colorful celebration!

Andrea’s mother hand-stitched the names of their family in Andrea’s wedding dress, making a lovely accent on her already beautiful white dress. And all the other ladies in the wedding party wore brightly colored dresses, making everything feel very festive. I even got a shot of Andrea dancing, showing off the colors in her dress.

After Harvey and Andrea were ready to get started, everyone gathered at the waterfront to witness the ceremony.

A Sweet Ceremony at The San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club

Once everyone arrived for the wedding at The San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club, Harvey and Andrea exchanged rings and said their vows and “I do’s” before friends and family. Then, we took some time on our own to take photos around the property.

Harvey and Andrea were so sweet, holding or hugging one another and smiling non-stop. They clearly love one another so much, and being able to capture their love warmed my heart. Soon, we had to head back to the rest of the guests because it was time for a delicious reception!

A Family Reception

Harvey and Andrea had some superb authentic Mexican food catering, which everybody loved. I had a great time and ate quite a few tacos myself! The reception was small but mighty, as everyone was thrilled to be a part of Harvey and Andrea’s special day.

Along with the colorful cupcakes, there was also a colorful wedding cake and Mexican decorations, which made the whole reception feel like a fiesta. It was hard to leave such a warm and welcoming party!

Final Thoughts

Even though some people think that a wedding should only be about the couple, their friends and family are an important part of the day, too. And Harvey and Andrea really wanted to ensure their family felt included in their special day. It was an honor to be a part of such a special celebration, and I loved being able to be there with them.

If you have a special celebration or event coming up, I’d love to connect with you and help capture the moment!
