Annie & Jimmy’s Romantic Naval Wedding

There’s something so special about a military wedding, especially when you’re working with a sweet couple like Annie and Jimmy. I loved getting to photograph their naval wedding on the beach. From the beautiful weather to the amazing wedding party, everything just felt sunny and happy from start to finish.

Annie and Jimmy wanted their wedding to have a classic feel that honored naval wedding traditions while still being unique to them as a couple. The result was a ceremony and reception that had early summer vibes with some truly romantic elements.

It was a sweet sunny day filled with love. And the bride and groom were so excited to start their new life together.

Getting Ready For A Naval Wedding

Watching Annie and Jimmy get ready for their wedding was lovely! Jimmy took such time and care with his white naval uniform, ensuring every medal was placed perfectly. He looked so dashing, but it was even sweeter to see his first look with Annie.

Annie wore a jaw-dropping wedding dress with a deep-cut neckline and a flowy veil. She literally took your breath away, and Jimmy started crying when he saw her. It was beyond adorable to see them together.

The venue had so many great spots for us to shoot their wedding pictures, so we got in a few shots before the ceremony. We even were able to head to the waterfront and catch some sunny photos by the water.

California Sun and The Happy Couple

The naval wedding itself was dreamy, with the cityscape across the bay acting as a stunning backdrop. They selected some really beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements for their wedding, featuring orange, cream, and white shades.

The sweet ceremony went by quickly, with friends and family sharing in the joy of the happy couple. After the ceremony, we took plenty of photos around the venue. Annie even put on Jimmy’s hat, which was adorable!

After the naval wedding ceremony, the wedding party sat down to a beautiful plated dinner. It was elegant, and there were so many great moments, like when Annie and Jimmy cut their wedding cake. Before long, everyone was on the dance floor

There was some serious swing dancing going on, which was awesome. I caught a few hilarious photos of people mid-dance, which was a total blast. Everyone had a great time!

Reflecting on the Day

Being a part of Annie and Jimmy’s naval wedding was such a pleasure, and I was so honored to be a part of their special day. They were great to work with, plus we couldn’t have asked for a better day for their wedding.

The best part? Witnessing these two starting their lives together. And something I strive to do is harness the energy of the day, which I think shines in this naval wedding.

If you have a wedding coming up, I’d love to hear more about what you’re planning.
