There’s something so dreamy about a Southern California wedding. The overall feel is always so relaxed and chill, like a day at the beach with friends and family. And that’s precisely what Nina and Brett wanted for their Martin Johnson House wedding.
Nina and Brett were the epitome of adorable. And we got plenty of amazing pictures for their wedding in La Jolla, CA. Along with this couple being downright amazing, their friends and family were all just SO excited to celebrate these two!
But ultimately, one of my favorite parts of this Martin Johnson House wedding was the stunning Pacific coastline, which provided an amazing backdrop for the wedding. I loved watching the light change throughout the day and had a lot of fun playing with the light in Nina and Brett’s wedding photos.
Getting Ready For The Big Day
Nina and Brett got ready for their wedding day at the Martin Johnson House. They were surrounded by their friends and family, and I caught a couple of very sweet moments with Nina’s mom and Brett with his best man. It was a relatively intimate wedding with only close loved ones nearby, but that made for an even more special wedding.
Nina was a beautiful bride and looked amazing in her off-the-shoulder wedding dress. And her bright bouquet was the perfect pop of color to compliment her dress. Brett wore a crisp, light blue suit that matched so well with Nina; they looked utterly perfect together.
We had a lot of fun exploring the Martin Johnson House grounds before the wedding, taking pictures and gazing off at the ocean views. It was great to see these two just having some time for themselves, enjoying the day. Before long, it was time for the ceremony!
A Martin Johnson House Wedding To Remember
Nina and Brett had a truly lovely ceremony and celebrated their marriage with several Jewish traditions. It was clear this was important to them and their union, which made it all the more meaningful. They signed their Ketubah and vowed their love for one another under the warm California sun.
Soon, everyone sat down for a wedding dinner and toasted the happy couple. As the sun set, the party lights came on, and people were out on the dance floor in no time. Nina and Brett ended the night with a slow dance, which was the perfect end to their Martin Johnson House wedding.
Final Thoughts
One thing I love about my job as a wedding photographer is being able to capture the feeling of the day as well as special moments for the bride and groom. And I had a total blast doing this for Nina and Brett’s wedding.
Not only were they wonderful to work with, but their family was so welcoming, and the scenery was breathtaking. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to spend a day.
If you have a wedding coming up and want a great photographer, I’d love to hear about your special day!
