An Elopement And Wedding Photos At Alcazar Garden
You know that feeling when you look at a couple and just know they’re the perfect fit for one another? That’s what it was like being around Shalese and Elijah. So when they asked me to witness their elopement and photograph their San Diego Courthouse wedding, how could I say no?
Since it was just us for the shoot, we could focus on what really mattered: their love for one another. Being able to celebrate these two on their special day was such an honor. And we captured their wedding photos during the afternoon golden hour, making for some amazing photos!
A Sweet San Diego Courthouse Wedding
Shalese and Elijah had their ceremony at the San Diego Courthouse. They wanted a private ceremony that was just for the two of them. It was so wonderful to see this couple celebrate their love and commitment to each other.
Shalese wore an adorable white sundress with frills and off-the-shoulder sleeves. She looked so confident and beautiful in her dress, plus her hair and makeup were stunning! And Elijah looked so handsome in his outfit, sporting dress pants, a stylish vest, and a buttoned shirt.
Once their private San Diego Courthouse wedding ceremony was over, we went to Alcazar Garden in Balboa Park to take wedding photos!
Exploring Alcazar Garden
Their San Diego Courthouse wedding ceremony was in the early afternoon, giving us a lovely sunset for wedding photos. I felt so lucky that the lighting for their photos timed out just right! And gardens had so many stunning backgrounds for this lovely couple.
I’m pretty familiar with Balboa Park, so I was able to guide us through some really great spots for wedding photos. From the gorgeous fountains and pools to the tree-lined pathways, it was a beautiful day to be at Alcazar Garden. And after a little bit of guidance, I let Shalese and Elijah do their thing while I captured the magic!
Shalese and Elijah explored Alcazar Garden together, laughing the afternoon away. They seemed to be in their own dreamy world, full of pure joy and love. And since they were naturals in front of the camera, I was able to get a ton of fantastic shots!
Final Thoughts on this Romantic San Diego Courthouse Wedding
Elopements are always so special to me because they really get down to the heart of the matter (literally!) and focus on what’s important. Shalese and Elijah were so sweet together, and seeing them make this loving commitment to each other was truly special.
Sometimes we can get wrapped up in the day-to-day, hurrying from one thing to the next. But if we pause for a moment, take a breath, and really focus on what matters, we’ll find the ground beneath our feet. And a walk in the park with someone you love can help you see the world in a whole new light.
If you have a special event coming up and would like to work together, I’d love to hear from you!
