Chris & Nicole’s Stylish and Stunning Traditional Wedding

It was a beautiful day as Chris and Nicole tied the knot in some of San Diego’s most stunning venues. The day started off at the San Diego Mission Bay resort, where the couple and their entourage got ready.

The preparation shots provided a preview of the elegant vibes and aesthetic for the entire day. I got some clean shots of the wedding cards,  alongside some luxurious scents. Nicole’s embroidered van shoes, the diamond ring, the A-line and cap sleeve gown, and the Tayten block heel sandals looked like they came straight out of a bride’s dream Pinterest wedding board.

Chris, on the other hand, wore a light grey three-piece suit blended with a white rose Boutonniere, white shirt, and red tie. I could spend all day capturing the entourage in their maroon dresses and black suits. Mission Resort Bay gave us all the perfect backdrop to capture great pre-wedding photos, but there was much more to focus on.

First Look and Vows at Chris and Nicole’s Traditional Wedding

Chris and Nicole had a great idea for their first-look photos. It actually seemed like a movie as Nicole calmly walked towards Chris. Chris could feel the anticipation and excitement build up as he waited for Nicole’s shoulder pat to turn around. The couple read and recited their printed vows. After exchanging profound promises and confessions, it was time to head to The Immaculata Catholic Church for the ceremony.

Chris and Nicole go to school at USD, and it felt so special to serve as the venue for their traditional wedding. Even before everyone walked in, the atmosphere felt peaceful, lovely, and joyous. The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked in first in pairs, followed by Chris.

Nicole walked down the aisle as everyone watched in tears (of joy). The ceremony was very formal and traditional, but you could still feel the heartfelt emotion as the couple exchanged vows. I coordinated the exit out of the Church, and it was lovely.

We also took a good number of portraits at the venue, not forgetting to mention how great they looked with the pool reflection. The architectural design delivered such a fabulous look for all the other portraits. We ended the portrait session with a few at the flowered pillars, which appeared just as strong as Chris and Nicole’s bond.

A Walk into Prado, Balboa Park

Chris and Nicole’s Traditional wedding reception happened at Prado, Balboa Park. We were welcomed by a white cake with sunset roses, well-arranged tables, gold Chiavari chairs, and fancy cutlery to add sophistication to the traditional wedding.

Some took this chance to read their heartwarming speeches for Chris and Nicole’s big day. The best part was capturing the delicacies – salmon with sautéed vegetables and braised beef cheek with mash. Everybody looked happy as the couple cut the cake before hitting the floor with their awesome dance moves. I caught some incredible photos amid the dance, including the little guy in the blue suit.

Let’s call it a day

It was such an honor to capture Chris and Nicole’s traditional wedding photos. The couple found me through some of their friends and loved how I captured color and fun, and my pictures felt full of life. You can experience the same and more by contacting me today!
